well, thought it time for an update on jonas' burn. as you can see from the photos below, he's healing really well. in fact, as far as we can tell it's one hundred percent better. no irregularities between the original skin and the burned area which we think means there should be no scarring. the redness should apparently go away with time (with maybe a faint discolouration) and the area will be sensitive to the sun for a couple years.

the last of the fake skin fell off last week as jody and her friend were praying for him. despite the obvious stress of the situation it is very clear to us that God cares for us and we're certain he had a hand in the healing process.

we'd like to thank everyone who prayed for him, sent encouraging emails/phone calls, showed up at the hospital, and were just good friends and family during it. we're very grateful for you all wherever you are in the world.
