mind your tea...

to all the parents of young children, here's a gentle warning. keep hot things (such as fresh tea) way out of their reach!

jonas had a small accident on saturday. managed to pull a fresh cup of tea onto himself and wound up in the emergency getting some very nasty burns attended to. thankfully they turned out to be superficial (though still incredibly painful both for him, and mum and dad) and on only about 3% of his skin surface. we say thankful because it will hopefully mean that the burn will heal relatively quickly and should leave no scarring. the pics below were taken during our overnight stay in the hospital.

jonas was exceptionally cheerful during the morning after the incident. he even made a friend with nearly the exact same injury, around the same age and the two of them tore the burn ward up and down with curiousity!
